LGWV 3 part 12The vampires sat around the same round table within their lair that they had sat at earlier. The vampires seemed pleased about the results of the battle. However, some of the younger ones seemed a little agitated. I do not understand, was not the purpose of the attack to kill the priest and his companions? asked one of the younger vampires. Not only did they live, but we also lost a significant number of our undead servants. A few of the older vampires chuckled at him. Since you have only been in the coven for a few years, I do not expect you to understand the intricacy of the plan, said the female vaLGWV 3 part 12

LGWV 3 part 11She crawled out, and Shendo scooped her up into his arms. Thank you for saving me, but who is going to save you? said the girl with an unnaturally mature voice. Shendo looked down, and saw the little girl wearing a fanged smile as she sank her fangs into his arm. Shendo let out a cry of pain, and tried to sling the vampire off of him. The vampire released his arm, and then rebounded from a wall with her feet. Her agile maneuver caught Shendo off guard, and he fell back as she crashed into him. She tried to bite his neck to drain him, but Shendo blocked with his forearm. Ariana ran to his aide, and smacked the vampire away wiLGWV 3 part 11

LGWV 3 part 10Diedrick had become separated from Shendo and Ariana. He was one his own against the ghouls. At lest, that would be what observers would say. For Diedrick was never alone, he had the divine favor of his patron God, Saint Cuthbert. Diedrick wielded his cudgel in one hand, and brandished his club-shaped holy symbol in his other hand. He moved with the grace and speed of a panther, and struck with the force and power of a bull. He was just finishing off another group of ghouls when he heard the scream. The cleric turned and tried to locate the source. He saw a small child, not more than five winters, surrounded by eight ghouls. She wLGWV 3 part 10

LGWV 3 part 9Artemis surveyed the battle below him as he fired his last arrow. Shendos plan of putting archers on the rooftops would have been a good strategy, if they had been fighting mortal enemies. Their barrage of arrows did little, if any, damage to the undead monsters. They just kept going, even after a dozen arrows. As the elf looked at the ongoing battle he noticed a large figure that appeared to be wrapped in bandages, and it was fighting near the front of the undead hoard. That must be the leader, thought Artemis, someone must be doing vary well to have brought him to the front. Then he saw whom it was fighting. Dmitri! Artemis lookLGWV 3 part 9

The RiseThere was one more site Baby Jack wanted to show the doll before he would sleep with the rising sun. For now, the sky remained dark with the light of the moon casting a spotlight as they traveled. The other end of the trees was steadily approaching just as the moon crawled down the sky into the trees. There was a cliff, a wall straight down that disappeared in the low light below. Beautiful sirens echoed from the edge. Suddenly the sun rose from the sea over the horizon. The cliff lead into an ocean, not as far as it once appeared. The serenades came from dolphin-like creatures made of pure water, hoping out of the gulf. Bats and bThe Rise

The ScrapersIt took time to move the doll away from the skyscrapers. Baby Jack knew it was going to be trouble for his naïve friend. The doll begged to see the city, but the bat continued to push away. Baby Jack attempted to explain the problems of what lie between the towering structures. Eventually, the doll agreed to stay away, at least for now. The darkness of the night grew darker, so BJ lead the doll on a path back to his tree. The doll, however, thought of the dangers the bat warned it of. It knew it was going to visit the scrapers eventually, but for now the peace of the forest would be its home. The Scrapers

The TourFinally realizing that the doll was nothing more than an infant, Baby Jack knew it would be his responsibility to keep it safe. However, he did not know how little experience the doll had really had. Never-the-less, the bat would take the doll on what might be considered a tour of the forest, that way when he wasnt around, the doll wouldnt get lost. What seemed like hours of walking in circles to the doll turned out to actually be the whole forest. The doll felt like there was no hope in the green paradise. At the edge of the woods, there were large grey blocks on the horizon, among other sights, awkward to the dollThe Tour

the AwakeningThe sun was setting at the horizon with the sky a healthy mix of orange and blue. Red fabric eyes sewn open stare at the shades in the sky. The doll was awe-struck at the beautiful sight, with its rip was left in an o shape specifying his emotion. As its gaze stay fixed on the sunset, Baby Jack began to wake up for the coming night. He leans out of his tree to greet his new doll friend. The doll only saw the bats stitched face appear out of seemingly nowhere, and the dolls stuffed heart would have popped in fear had it been organic. The doll began to cry in fear again, but BJ couldnt quite uthe Awakening
